Residents in Rehoboth Beach really needed a safe crosswalk at Surf Avenue. Many had young kids, grandkids or were a bit on the slower side navigating the road with the increased traffic. I approached Kathy McGuiness and she immediately contacted local municipalities about the request. She also immediately called the Delaware Department of Transportation. She did not miss a beat.
After being directed to multiple people but getting no action, she did not give up. In fact, she didn’t wait, and contacted our state officials/representatives/contacts in regard to the Community Transportation Funds which would pay for the project. Now we have two crosswalks in North Rehoboth thanks to Kathy’s work to make it happen.
She has the relationships and support throughout the state, she does not give up when help is needed, and she gets things done. Kathy is exactly what the 14th District needs to help us solve our problems. Kathy has the experience, contacts and the drive to get us results, as she has for years locally.
If you want an effective leader who makes things happen representing us, please vote McGuiness Tuesday, Sept. 10. As a registered Republican, I am unable to vote in the primary, but I have prominently placed her sign in my front yard in support of her.
