Mellowdious Gin from Dogfish Head is back

Dogfish Head Distilling Co. announced that Mellowdious Gin is back at the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton, Chesapeake & Maine, and Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach. With a blend of citrusy-hop flavors mellowed for a spell in used bourbon barrels, Mellowdious Gin is a special offering not to be missed.

With Compelling Gin and Whole Leaf Gin, Dogfish Head Distilling Co. purposely wanted two very different-tasting gins, and the creators were delighted to discover when they were mixed together, the result was an intriguing and distinct profile. Mellowdious Gin was aged to allow the cacophony of botanical flavors time to marry and meld together. Distillers purposely chose a used bourbon barrel to avoid the risk of over-oaking this delicate spirit, and they loved the subtle sweetness the residual bourbon contributed to the end spirit.
