Milford's Riverside Antique Mall celebrates five years

The Riverside Antique Mall in Milford is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. When the shop opened five years ago, Mike Becker and seven other antique dealers had hopes of creating a fun place for people to buy unusual antiques and collectibles in downtown Milford. The mall has since grown to 20 dealers and is still going strong. The city of Milford obviously likes it, too, because the mall took top honors in the window-decorating contest for the 2012 holiday season.

To mark the anniversary event and thank their loyal customers and friendly new faces, the dealers are offering a 20 percent discount from selected booths from Thursday, Feb. 14, through Thursday, Feb. 28.

"Myself and the other antique vendors really appreciate our customers and love to meet new people, so we thought it would be nice to offer something back to them during our anniversary celebration,” said Becker. “What better way to offer a thank you than a discount on something they would like for their home or their collection?"

Among the mall's offerings are more-than-a-century-old antiques and vintage collectibles. The selections include Victorian furniture, vintage and antique jewelry, American primitives, lamps, pottery, and Civil War and World War II memorabilia.

The Riverside Antique Mall is at 34 N. Walnut St., next to Dolce Bakery and Coffee Shop. Winter hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday. The antique mall is closed Wednesdays and Sundays. For information call 302-424-1288.
