Millsboro ushers in July with Stars and Stripes event

The Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce held its annual Stars and Stripes event June 29 at the Millsboro Little League fields. The day culminated with a grand fireworks display. The event included 12 food trucks, a concession stand, 25 vendors, entertainment by DJ Brian K. Hall, and fireworks launched by Brother’s Pyro LLC.

“It really draws from outside of the community, and that’s what makes it special,” said Anne Angel of the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a way to bring people, both those who have been here and new residents, together.”

Aaron Jackson, the owner of Brother’s Pyro LLC, said, “We used to shoot from boats down in the pond, but you’re limited. There’s only so much you can do from a boat. This year, we’ve doubled in size with a huge thank you to the Millsboro Public Library for allowing us to use their property.”
