Milton Arts Guild classes continue Aug. 15

Artists can explore different media and techniques through Milton Arts Guild’s August class offerings at 310 Walnut St., Milton.

Cindy Mapp, a Lewes-based textile artist, will teach Gelli Printing from 3 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15. Gelli (gelatin) printing is an open-ended printmaking technique that creates differing images depending on the paper and printing tools. The class costs $50. Registrants may choose to bring stencils and papers for experimentation.

Sharon Davis will lead a Felted Wool Ball Garland class from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20. Students will create a six-foot garland of wet felted wool balls strung on natural hemp twine. The class costs $60, with all supplies included.

Ria Carraro and Darlene Herring will teach a Leather Wrap Bracelet class from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21, in which students will make a single wrap bracelet with tile and seed beads stitched onto leather with a decorative button closure. Cost is $60 including all supplies.

In a special off-site class, Ceramic Christmas Tree Painting will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, at at Go Paint Ceramics, 1111 N. Dupont Blvd., Milford. Led by Donna Stalvey, participants will create glazed vintage-style Christmas trees. There will be a break for lunch. Cost is $150, including all supplies.

Kathy Fessenbecker will lead a BYOB paint and sip from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22. Attendees will sip favorite adult beverages and create a mixed-media sailboat painting. No prior experience is necessary and all supplies are included (except beverages). The evening costs $50.
