Milton Arts Guild sets quilling flags class June 17

June 11, 2023

Milton Arts Guild will offer one of its popular quilling classes focused entirely on artistically celebrating the Fourth of July holiday.

Instructor Jenn Johnson will show artists how to make quilled, rolled roses and use them to create a flag during a class from 12:30 to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 17, at Studios on Walnut, 310 Walnut St., Milton.

Quilling is the art of using paper strips rolled, shaped and glued around a strong, stiff cylinder to create a unified, decorative design.

Johnson is a self-taught artist who specializes in three-dimensional art including sacred mandala art, quilling, paper crafts and light-enhanced works. She is also an avid tangle artist. She is a member of Milton Arts Guild and displays her work at shows throughout Sussex County.

Cost is $85, and includes all materials and supplies. To register, go to miltonartsguild.org.
