Milton Chamber of Commerce was granted its request by the town’s historic preservation commission to install a different style of door for the chamber’s new office at 113 Federal St.
At the commission’s Aug. 13 meeting, Aaron Rogers, contractor for the chamber, said the idea is to replace the existing grid-glass-style door with a metal commercial door having a single pane of glass. He said this door would be similar to the one at The Butcher’s Shop two doors down.
Rogers said the new door would better accommodate the handicapped-accessible ramp the chamber has installed at the entrance to the building.
