Milton chamber prepares for a Wicked Weekend on Halloween

September 24, 2021

On Halloween weekend, the Milton Chamber of Commerce will unleash its newest and spookiest event: Wicked Weekend, which will include trick or treating, pumpkin carving, magic shows and more.

Chamber Director Anne Brown said, “The Milton Chamber continues to pursue opportunities to get involved with the Milton community at large, and we are excited to put on an event that gets lots of other local organizations engaged with us and brings something fun, unique and family-oriented to the town. Plus, this event provides a great opportunity for local businesses to get in front of local residents in a really fun way by participating in the Fantasy Trail or Haunted Walk.”

Events will begin at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30, in Milton Memorial Park with a Sorcery and Stories magic show at the Charlie Fleetwood Gazebo. From there, visitors can walk either the Fantasy Trail or the Haunted Walk through the park. The Fantasy Trail includes princesses and superheroes, and is recommended for smaller children. The Haunted Walk is designed to be scarier, including a possible appearance by the Headless Horseman.

Also in the park will be a pumpkin-carving competition, and the Milton Lions Club train will be rechristened The Terror Train for the night. At the Lydia Cannon Museum, there will be a monster movie shown and games for children. Events will run until 8 p.m.

Trick or treating will be held throughout town from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 30.

Brown said businesses interested in participating should contact the chamber via email, chamber@historicmilton.com.

Editor’s Note: Previous version of the story had the date of trick-or-treating as Oct. 31.
