The field is set for this year’s Milton election, with two candidates filing to run for mayor and three candidates running for two council seats.
In the mayor’s race, incumbent Mayor John Collier will be running against Vice Mayor Lee Revis-Plank. Collier is seeking his second term as mayor after winning the office in 2022. He previously served two nonconsecutive terms on town council and also was employed as the town’s project coordinator.
Revis-Plank is in the midst of her second term on council after winning re-election in 2024. This year, she has served as the town’s vice mayor.
For town council, there is guaranteed to be one new member, since incumbent Larry Savage did not file to run for another term. The field includes incumbent Councilman Tom Arkinson, who has served since 2023, when he was appointed to serve the remainder of former Councilwoman Annette Babich’s term after she stepped down. Also filing to run are Robert Gray, a member of the town’s ad hoc committee on affordable housing, and Alan Pongratz, who works for the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Water.
Milton’s municipal election will be held Saturday, March 1, with polls open from from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Milton fire hall. After the polls close, the results will be announced at town hall around 6:30 p.m.
