Milton Fire Department hosts CPR classes

Public knowledge of CPR techniques helps first responders by potentially giving them a head start to save lives during emergencies.
About 20 people were certified during two classes, which cost $30 per person.
Milton Fire Department plans to host more CPR classes.
Milton Fire Department hosted two CPR classes Nov. 19, certifying 20 people in vital life-saving skills.
“The more people we get certified, the more people that are able to help potentially save a life,” said Chelsea Aydelotte, EMS chief at Milton Fire Department. Aydelotte said every minute a person goes without CPR during an emergency medical situation, chances of survival drop by 10 percent.
She said the department plans to host more classes in the future.
