Milton Historical Society to bid farewell to director June 27
The Milton Historical Society board of trustees announced the departure of Dr. Kimberly Fabbri as executive director of the Milton Historical Society.
The public is invited to attend a reception recognizing Fabbri's many contributions to Milton's educational, cultural and business communities. The reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 27, at the Lydia Black Cannon Museum at 210 Union St. in Milton.
During her tenure, membership grew by 25 percent. She partnered with community organizations including the chamber of commerce, Milton Theatre and Milton Garden Club to produce engaging programs. She helped procure the purchase of the house at 214 Union St., and launched four new exhibits.
Fabbri has chosen to continue her career in education and teaching.
The board has appointed Lee Revis-Plank as the society's interim director. She is a member of the MHS board of trustees, a resident of Milton and a human resources professional retired from Bank of America. Her organizational skills, attention to detail and enthusiasm for Milton's history will serve her well in this role. She will assumes the new position Sunday, July 1.
