Milton Historical Society expands outreach with social media, marketing

Milton Historical Society announced its newest staff member, Shannon O’Neill, recently joined the organization to serve as membership and social media coordinator.

O’Neill brings to the Milton Historical Society a passion for social media, marketing and public outreach. She is a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School and began her postsecondary studies at the University of Hawaii. She is moving toward completion of her degree in English and communications at the University of Delaware. 

O’Neill has worked with such groups as Global Children’s Center, Night Owl Marketing and Rehoboth Beach Public Library. She has served as a marketing manager, experienced in all aspects of campaign development, social media marketing and production. She is a creative and team-oriented leader with four years of success in developing and designing effective, eye-catching marketing campaigns.

O’Neill has a deep appreciation for the history and culture of the area, having grown up in the Delmarva region. She shares with Miltonians and fellow Sussex County residents a desire to preserve and protect the beauty of this area and share Milton’s story with families and friends, near and far.
