Milton Little League slides into new season

April 17, 2018

Beautiful weather helped ring in a new baseball and softball season April 14 at Milton Little League, as hundreds of players, parents, friends and family gathered to celebrate America’s Pastime.

Following a parade from Milton Elementary through downtown and to the Little League complex, teams gathered together along the edge of the infield for Opening Day ceremonies, featuring the infamous golf ball drop, the singing of the national anthem by Grace Wiggins and Gabby Windsor, and ceremonial first pitches by Milton Fire Department Auxiliary President Maryann Warrington, and Milton VFW Commander Hank Rickards.
