Milton man charged in Cool Spring shooting
A Milton man sought in the July 14 shooting near Cool Spring has been charged.
Police had been searching for Timmarus Perry, 24, in connection with a shooting on West Springside Drive. Police said a Laurel man, 27, was shot in the back before he crashed a Ford Explorer into a utility pole on Cool Spring Road near Fisher Road. He was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.
On July 24, detectives used a warrant to arrest Perry. He was taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with first-degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited. He was arraigned by Justice of Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $105,000 secured bond.
