Milton turns the town teal for ovarian cancer awareness

As part of a national campaign to raise awareness about ovarian cancer, the Town of Milton is taking part in the annual Turn the Town Teal initiative.
Volunteers from the Women’s Club of Milton turned out Aug. 14 to put up teal ribbons all over downtown as part of the campaign, which in Delaware is run by the Delaware Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
One in 70 women is affected by ovarian cancer, and symptoms are difficult to detect, making this one of the deadliest gynecologic cancers. The Turn the Town Teal initiative will run through September in Milton.
