Mindful Manifestation Candle make-and-take program set June 4
HealTree will present Make Your Mindful Manifestation Candle from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, at 1632 Savannah Road, Suite 10, Lewes.
In this workshop, participants will make their mindful manifestation candle based on intention and energy that they can use in their mindful practices. Intentional manifestation candles are created with mindful awareness, fragrances, crystals and herbs. All supplies are included.
Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present in the moment, a skill which requires practice to improve proficiency. By practicing mindfulness, people can regulate their stress response and reduce its harmful effects, which include immune-system suppression and cellular aging. Mindfulness has the power to change brain structures, affecting thought patterns, reaction patterns and nervous system responses.
People who practice mindfulness can use anchors to return to the present moment when their mind wanders. Examples of anchors are breath, body sensations, the five senses, and focusing attention on an object such as a candle. When the object represents an intention, that intention is brought into the mindful practice.
This workshop will be guided by Maxine Middlebrook, who often refers to herself as a fellow healing human and knows firsthand the benefits of authentic, holistic mental health care and wellness. Through a variety of both personal and professional experiences, she has developed a great appreciation for the human experience. She is a certified mindfulness teacher through the MCT program and holds a master’s degree in management from Wilmington University.
