Minnie Lee Kelley Showell Chandler, Frankford resident

Minnie Lee Kelley Showell Chandler, 83, of Frankford, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023. 

She was born June 26, 1940, to the late James Kelley and Bettie Smith Kelley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Welcie Chandler; and grandson, Gregory Showell Jr. 

Minnie is survived by her children, Darnell Showell, Gregory (Janet) Showell, Michelle Showell, Vanessa Showell and James (Theresa) Showell, all of Frankford, and Evelyn Chandler, Darlene Risper and Barry (Rhonda) Chandler; 27 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Corine Smith and brother-in-law Walter Smith Sr.; godbrother, William (Deborah) Mapp; godsister, Priscilla Holmes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and two sisters-in-law. 

A celebration of life for Minnie will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at Union Wesley United Methodist Church, 32317 Powell Farm Road, Frankford, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m.
