Moorings named a Best Nursing Home for short-term rehab
The Moorings at Lewes has been recognized as a Best Nursing Home for short-term rehabilitation for 2023-24 by U.S. News & World Report.

U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 nursing homes on resident care and safety, infection rates, staffing, health inspection results and other quality indicators for this updated report. Only 19% of skilled nursing facilities nationwide earned the Best Nursing Home designation.
There are currently 47 nursing homes all over Delaware, and The Moorings at Lewes is among a distinguished group to receive such a high overall rating. The Moorings’ high-performance rating in short-term rehabilitation is based on U.S. News’ assessment of 10 quality measures focused on staffing, medical outcomes, resident complaints and processes of care. U.S. News used scientific literature review, discussions with industry experts and statistical modeling to select these measures. The independent survey of The Moorings’ healthcare program reaffirms the work excellence of the community’s clinical staff and rehabilitation team.
