A motorcyclist was injured April 27 following a crash on Route 24 in Long Neck.
Officials with the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company said the crash happened about 8 p.m. at the intersection of Route 24 and Long Neck Road when a Harley-Davisdon motorcycle and a Ford pickup truck collided.
The collision caused the motorcycle to slide into a nearby light pole, which injured the motorcyclist, officials said. A fire company report noted the motorcyclist was prepped for “aviation transportation to Christiana Medical Center.”
The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control, with segments of Indian Mission Road closed for the duration of the incident. The travel lanes of Route 24 and Long Neck Road were also disrupted, officials said. Delaware State Police are investigating.
