Multiples show opens at Heidi Lowe Gallery Nov. 12
Heidi Lowe Gallery’s sixth annual Multiples show will host an opening reception from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, as part of the Rehoboth Mosaic art walk. Multiples features the most jewelry artists in the gallery all year and is held just in time for holiday shopping.
“The Multiples show brings together a vast array of types of jewelry that should delight everyone, from people with traditional tastes to those who consider themselves more eccentric,” gallery owner Lowe said. “More than a dozen artists, including some from the United Kingdom, have created new work for the show. One artist cut facets out of skateboards and another has created earrings with illusory elements.”
Artists this year include Kate Bauman, Jim Bove, Ashley Buchanan, Sarah Kate Burgess, Analya Cespedes, Jim Cotter, Caitlin Driver, Rachel Fine, Laritza Garcia, Tara Locklear, Agnes Ma, Erica Miller, Michelle Oh, Meghan Patrice Riley, Leslie Shershow, Sakurako Shimizu, Karola Torkos and Ben Ulsh. Also, Lowe’s line of jewelry made from baby seed pearls, agates, drussies and other gem rocks will be for sale.
Heidi Lowe Gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays and Saturdays; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sundays. It is the little yellow cottage at 328 Rehoboth Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. It specializes in art jewelry, which is jewelry made by a studio artist. Rehoboth Beach native Lowe also creates her own innovative jewelry line and teaches private lessons on premises. For more information, contact Lowe at 302-227-9203 or go to www.heidilowejewelry.com.
This art show is held in conjunction with the gallery collective Mosaic. Mosaic was founded in 2008 to promote a heightened awareness of the emerging Rehoboth Beach art scene. The group hosts a free art walk in downtown Rehoboth Beach every second Saturday of the month and at other events throughout the year. Visit www.mosaicrehoboth.com for more information. This month’s art walk will be from 2 to 5 p.m.
