The 2023 Dewey Business Partnership Canoe Races were held July 11 on the bayside beach of Dickinson Avenue, where bragging rights for the year were up for grabs.
Teams comprising two men and two women competing in the annual event included Nalu, Bethany Blues, Paradise Grill, Woody’s, The Lighthouse, Rusty Rudder, The Starboard, Claw, Dewey Post and the Rehoboth Beach Running Company.
Nalu earned the top prize, with Paradise Grill coming in a close second. The Lighthouse and Rehoboth Beach Running Company tied for third.
Nalu’s Jimmy Young has been a part of the winning team 10 years straight.
“You know, I couldn’t have done it without the amazing crew that shows up bright and early with all the anxiety to win,” said Young. “It’s an amazing event that entertains until the end.”
