New admissions director named at St. Thomas More Academy
Rachael Casey, principal at Saint Thomas More Academy in Magnolia, announced the appointment of Dr. Judi L. Coffield, EdD, as the new director of admissions. Coffield was coaxed out of retirement to accept the position. Her long career in education includes positions as director of the Early College High School at Delaware State University, executive director at the Delaware State Board of Education, adjunct professor at the University of Delaware and University of Pennsylvania, as well as positions with several school districts in Delaware. She is a graduate of West Liberty State College, W.Va., where she earned her bachelor's degree. Her master’s and doctorate degrees are from the University of Delaware.
Coffield will also head the MORE program, promoting development and enrollment at STMA. Coffield says, "I am very excited to join the Saint Thomas More Academy family. STMA delivers something that other schools simply cannot, a high school that is faith-focused, teacher-connected, honor-guided, college-centered and arts-inspired, all tied to gospel teachings. In these difficult times, many people, especially our youth, are searching for the good in the world. They are searching for more than just an academic experience...more than simply earning high school credits. The good news is that you can find MORE than a typical high school experience in a small private high school nestled in the countryside in Magnolia, Delaware. You can get so much MORE at Saint Thomas More Academy!" +For more information, go to www.saintmore.org, call 302-697-8100 or email moreadmissions@saintmore.org.
