New roundabout gets stamp of approval

May 24, 2024

So, I have used the new Five Points roundabout at Route 9, Beaver Dam Road and Plantation Road a few times since it opened. Today, I tried the new spur from southbound Route 1 to get to Plantation Road and the entrance to our development in Sandy Brae. I even used it once to avoid backup on eastbound Postal Lane to get to northbound Route 1 using the roundabout. I have to say all my trips have been smooth, fast and easy, and it should improve even more as folks get used to the new routes! I give it a big thumbs-up. I look forward to the next-phase expansion of Plantation Road to four lanes.
