June 6, 2024

The theme was all about Philadelphia when Marge Worrell, Fund for Women founder and Sussex County committee member, held a party at her home.

Marge and her husband relocated to Lewes from Philly, and she wanted to share the great food and character of the city with guests from Sussex County.

Kelly Sheridan, Sussex County Fund for Women chair, said, “It was a great time, and a real plus was that nine Sussex County women joined Fund for Women as founders.” New founders are Maren Buckaloo, Sloane Buckaloo, Kathy Cochran, Nancy Collick, Dee Donato, Joanne Infiesta, Jan Kliger, Katie Millard and Michelle Troupe.

The Fund for Women is a Delaware statewide, volunteer-led, diverse group with a common goal to help all Delaware women and girls reach their full potential. Every year, Delaware organizations are selected to receive grants to help them in their mission. There were 18 organizations that received grants totaling $243,070 this year.
