Cape Henlopen school board meets Feb. 8
The Cape Henlopen school board will hold a workshop meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 8, at Mariner Middle School. The board will discuss additional student resource officer or constable support at district schools and hear a discussion on a middle school student achievement action plan.

Conaway, Plantation workshops set Feb. 15
The Delaware Department of Transportation is seeking public input for proposed intersection improvements at the Route 1-Minos Conaway Road intersection and corridor-wide improvements along Plantation Road in the Cape Region. The public workshop will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Cape Henlopen High School cafeteria, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes. The purpose of these projects is to preserve mobility to local residents and businesses while providing roadway improvements that will reduce congestion, improve safety and accommodate anticipated growth in local and seasonal traffic.

Attendees will have the opportunity to review display maps with proposed alternatives and provide comments. Project team members will be in attendance to answer questions. Interested persons are invited to express their views in writing. Comments will be received during the workshop or can be mailed to DelDOT Community Relations, PO Box 778, Dover, DE 19903 or sent via email to dotpr@state.de.us or by fax at 302-739-2092. Comment deadline is Friday, March 16.

The workshop location is accessible to persons with disabilities. Any person having special needs or requiring special aid, such as an interpreter for the hearing impaired, is requested to phone 302-760-2080. Lewes budget workshop set Feb. 9
Lewes Mayor and City Council will kick off a series of budget workshops at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9, at city hall. Council will take its first look at the fiscal year 2019 budget at the meeting. Budget workshops will then be held every Wednesday throughout February at 1:30 p.m. For more information, call city hall at 302-645-7777.

DART Hosts Community Conversations
Delaware Transit Corporation is inviting interested individuals to attend DART's Community Conversations to provide feedback and share their experiences since DART's recent service changes, as well as offer suggestions on future changes. Join any time between the hours listed below and talk with DART representatives.

Service proposals will be presented at public hearing workshops in March. Community Conversations include one Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Rehoboth Public Library, and 4 to 7 p.m., at Milford Library. For an accommodation, such as an interpreter for the hearing impaired or a language translator, call 1-800-652-DART (3278), option 2, in advance. For those unable to attend, feedback can be submitted through www.DartFirstState.com at Feedback.
