Rehoboth’s COVID meeting canceled
Rehoboth Beach’s Dec. 8 meeting related to addressing strategies and the path forward during the COVID-19 pandemic has been canceled.
Rehoboth infrastructure committee meeting set
The Rehoboth Beach Trees and Green Infrastructure Committee, formerly Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Trees, has scheduled an online meeting for 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 11.
The agenda calls for discussions on the city’s commemorative tree program and a partnership with Rehoboth in Bloom.

Rehoboth planners to meet Dec. 11
The Rehoboth Beach Planning Commission has scheduled an online meeting for 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11. The agenda calls for two public hearings related to partitioning properties at 54 and 56 Rehoboth Ave., and at 46 Columbia Ave. The agenda also calls for an update on the city’s 2020 comprehensive development plan and a discussion on how to move forward with the Clear Space Theatre Company hearings.

Henlopen Acres meeting set Dec. 11
Henlopen Acres commissioners have scheduled a virtual meeting for 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 11, via Zoom. The agenda calls for a discussion on rental rules, enforcement and fines; a possible vote on rental property license fee; possible vote on gross rental receipts tax rate; and the appointment of two members to the investment committee. Sussex P&Z meeting set Dec. 10
Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 10, in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown. Dewey audit committee meets Dec. 9
The Dewey Beach Audit Committee will meet virtually at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9. Members will discuss and possibly vote on priorities for oversight based on the audit recommendations. A link to the meeting is available at townofdeweybeach.com.
Dewey budget committee to meet
The Dewey Beach Budget and Finance Committee will meet virtually at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 12. Members will discuss current year-to-date budget performance, the draft budget for 2021-22, and new revenue stream recommendations from the previous year’s budget and finance committee. Dewey commissioners to meet Dec. 11
Dewey Beach commissioners will hold their regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11. Council may possibly vote to approve committee chairs and members, and will discuss proposed zoning changes submitted by the planning and zoning commission, the possible implementation of a building permit application fee, and bay beach rules. Lewes council workshop set Dec. 11
Lewes Mayor and City Council will meet at 9 a.m., Friday, Dec. 11, to discuss short-term and long-term priorities. A link to the meeting can be found at lewes.civicweb.net.
Lewes Beach Parking Committee to meet
The Lewes Beach Parking Committee will meet virtually at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11. The group will consider parking along Cape Henlopen Drive and on paper streets between Cape Henlopen Drive and Freeman Highway. The committee will also consider whether the city should survey the rights of way on the canal side of Cedar Street.
They will also consider criteria for policy on when to remove an obstruction from the rights of way.

Warrington Road to close for repair work
Warrington Road will be closed for repairs between Route 24 and Old Landing Road during mid-December. Corrado Management Services, a Delaware Department of Transportation contractor, will be removing and replacing a crossroad pipe under Warrington Road near Rehoboth Beach. The project is scheduled from 6 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, until 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18. The rain date is from 6 a.m., Monday, Dec. 21, until 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22.
Detour: Motorists will take Route 24 onto Route 1 to Old Landing Road and return to Warrington Road. Detour signs will be posted. At all times, residents and businesses along Warrington Road will have access, but may need to take the posted detour route.
Cape Henlopen school board meets Dec. 10
The Cape Henlopen school board will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Sussex Consortium. The board will hear presentations on the unit count, major capital projects and a board policy on grading student progress.
Possible votes include change orders on major capital projects and November monthly financial statements.
