Rehoboth BoA meeting March 22

The Rehoboth Beach Board of Adjustment has scheduled an online meeting for 1 p.m., Monday, March 22. 

The agenda calls for a hearing on a variance request at 34 Virginia Ave. The property owner would like to install a fence more than 42 inches tall in the side-yard setback.

Rehoboth shade tree commission to meet

The Rehoboth Beach Parks and Shade Tree Commission has scheduled an online meeting for 10 a.m., Monday, March 22.

There are three items on the agenda. The first is an appeal hearing requested by the owners of 143 Rehoboth Ave. The second is a request by the owners of 60 Maryland Ave. to remove one memorial ginkgo street tree. The third is a request by the owners of 111 Henlopen Ave. to remove a Norway spruce from underneath power lines.

Special Rehoboth meeting set March 23

Rehoboth Beach commissioners have scheduled an online meeting for 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, to discuss changes to the city’s tree code.

Rehoboth animal issues committee to meet

The Rehoboth Beach Animal Issues Committee has scheduled an online meeting for 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 24.

The agenda calls for discussions related to dog issues – waste bag dispensers on the Boardwalk, dogs left in unattended vehicles, and dogs in the back of pickup trucks.

Dewey commissioners to meet March 22

Dewey Beach commissioners will meet virtually at 1 p.m., Monday, March 22, to discuss and possibly vote to approve the supplement to the town’s beach street and beach maintenance agreement with the Delaware Department of Transportation. A link to the meeting is available at townofdeweybeach.com.

Dewey investment committee to meet

The Dewey Beach investment committee will meet virtually at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 24. Members will discuss and possibly vote to recommend rehabilitation work on stormwater sewers on Bayard and Read avenues, to include a draw from the infrastructure fund to cover the proposed cost of approximately $48,000 for Bayard Avenue and $154,000 for Read Avenue. Lewes bike and ped committee to meet

The Lewes Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will meet virtually at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 23. 

The group will discuss the city’s bike ambassador program, trail bollards, sidewalk stencil program, sidewalk assessment and improvements to the Monroe Avenue/Freeman Highway intersection. A link to the meeting can be found on the agenda at lewes.civicweb.net

Sussex council meeting on March 23

Sussex County Council will meet at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 23, in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown.
