DNREC working on dune crossings

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Shoreline and Waterway Management Section is working on 31 dune crossings in Rehoboth Beach. DNREC spokesman Michael Globetti said the work is being done because fencing was in poor shape and loose sand was in the crossings.

Globetti said work includes restoring the crossing through grade and flattening loose sand as the fence is replaced. He said the total cost is estimated at $23,000 and work is expected to be finished by early May.
