No worries about sea level rise in 1931
June 29, 2016
Folks crowded the beach on Aug. 30, 1931 in Rehoboth Beach, and the Boardwalk towering above the beach. Dressed in everything from button-down shirts, ties and dresses, to full bathing suits, the crowd was out to have fun on that Labor Day weekend with little or no concern that there were no protective dunes to protect the waterfront structures. If a big storm came along and took down the wooden structures, C’est la vie! That was somebody else’s worry.
