Norman Norwood Collins, retired supervisor
Norman Norwood Collins, 80, of Milton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at Beebe Healthcare.
Norwood was born in Millsboro, son of the late Norman and Hattie (Greenwalt) Collins. He was a farmer and had worked with White Packing, Hajoca, Barcroft and retired in the mid 1980s as a supervisor with Perdue Farms in Georgetown.
Norwood was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge and attended Whites Chapel Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Lee Collins.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Charlotte (Johnson) Collins; three children, Jane Chorman and husband Raymond, Carol Daisey and husband Tony, Mary Collins and friend, John; a brother, Paul Collins; five grandchildren, John Collins and wife Amanda, Erin Chorman and friend Marcelus, Dawonne Downing Sr., and friend Kay, Keeon Downing, Brittany Chorman and friend Ray; and four great-grandchildren, Karmelo, Dawonne Jr., Lilyana and Marie.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 3, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, with visitation after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Whites Chapel Cemetery.
