Not again: Another paint spill on Cape roadway
Two weeks ago, someone spoiled roads leading to Five Points with blue paint

Another area of spilled paint – white this time – has appeared on a road in the Lewes area.
On July 3, white paint covered a section of Route 1 from the Postal Lane intersection to the exit to Lewes on Kings Highway.
On June 18, a large blue paint spill covered a wide area from Savannah Road around Five Points. According to Delaware Department of Transportation officials, there are no leads on who spilled or deliberately poured the paint on the roads.
“Unless the vehicle that is responsible is reported, we don’t have any information,” said Charles “C.R.” McLeod, DelDOT director of community relations.
Officials estimate that this blue paint spill occurred around 7 a.m., June 18. It covered a wide area including Savannah Road, Route 9, the roundabout and Plantation Road.
