The Delaware Nature Society invites the public to a dedication ceremony from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at Abbott's Mill Nature Center, 15411 Abbott's Pond Rd. in Milford. The ceremony will honor the Isaacs-Greene family's generous donation of 60 acres of land to the Delaware Nature Society.
Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served, beginning at 1 p.m. Formal dedication of the Isaacs-Greene Preserve into the Milford Millponds Nature Preserve and unveiling of the plaque signifying this donation commence at 1:30 p.m. with a guided tour of the preserve to follow. This now-protected land features upland and riparian forest, stream, marsh, and swamp habitats.
