One Love show to honor memory of Kelly Boyle Aug. 25

Bethany Blues will host a special tribute performance by the band One Love, aka the Divas of One Love, at 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 25, at 18385 Coastal Highway, Lewes.

The show will celebrate the memory of longtime band member Kelly Boyle, who passed away earlier this year. The Philadelphia-based band has performed many times in Cape Region music venues.

Battling health issues that included more than 60 surgeries, Boyle continued to sing for as long as she could. Attendees will have the opportunity to donate to Musicares in Boyle’s memory. The organization works to help the humans behind the music, and provides a safety net of critical health and welfare resources to those in need.

“When Bethany Blues was asked to be the host venue for this event, we were honored. And when PJ said they chose us because they wanted to pay tribute to Kelly in a place where she loved playing most, we were beyond touched,” said Jessica Nathan, director of operations at Bethany Blues of Lewes.

The celebration will feature several surprise guests with stories and songs to share as they re-create the magic that was always One Love.
