Parkland, Fla., shooting survivor to speak April 12 in Rehoboth

April 5, 2019

CAMP Rehoboth will offer a special presentation Friday, April 12, with Mei-Ling Ho-Shing, a student survivor-turned-activist from the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.

Like many of her classmates, Ho-Shing became an activist after surviving the horrible event last year in Parkland, Fla. In the wake of the tragedy, Ho-Shing called for more than gun law reform alone, demanding an intersectional approach to the #NeverAgain movement.

She began her activism by calling and leading a press conference to amplify the voices and experiences of students of color, marking a new generation of activists who aim to be fiercely intersectional.

The event is open to the public and will take place at 3:30 p.m. April 12 in the ballroom at the Atlantic Sands Hotel on Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth. There is no charge for this event. For more information check out www.camprehoboth.com under featured events, Women’s FEST.
