Pedal Away Prostate Cancer Bike Race set Sept. 14

September 10, 2024

Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among adult males in Delaware, where the level of cancer incidence is already significantly higher than the national average.

The 15th Annual Pedal Away Prostate Cancer Bike Race will begin at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, at Eden Hill Medical Center, 200 Banning St., Dover.

Sponsored by the Delaware Prostate Cancer Coalition, the event raises funds that support free community prostate screening programs, patient support groups and educational outreach. Founded in 2011, DPCC strives to uphold its mission of increasing awareness of prostate cancer and promoting early screening.

Free PSA vouchers and prostate cancer screening registration will be available. There also will be free health screenings for blood pressure, vision, diabetes, colon cancer and mental health. Vaccines will also be available.
