'Perfect Pace' author to sign books Aug. 24 at Browseabout

“Do you crave peace and joy in your life? Do you want to be happy?” asks local author Kim Bryan. “We all desire these things, but we live in an extremely fast-paced world with little time to rest or to be still. It has become increasingly difficult to experience the kind of peace and joy in our everyday living that God has planned for each of us.”

In “Perfect Pace," published recently by WestBow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson, readers are given all the details of the powerful yet easily relatable lesson on love, obedience and surrender that the author states God revealed to her during an everyday walk with her dog. Bryan writes that she learned the way she continually trains her dog to obey her commands mirrors the way God tirelessly trains her to obey him and to consistently surrender to his plan for her life.

“The day God showed me the parallels between a walk with Shane and my personal walk with God was life-changing,” she says. “I now understand that the level of peace and joy I experience in my life is directly connected to my level of obedience to God. The more I obey God, the more wonderful my life becomes.”

Browseabout Books, 133 Rehoboth Ave. in Rehoboth Beach, will be hosting a author book signing for “Perfect Pace” starting at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24.
