Perfect weekend for annual Greyhounds Reach the Beach

28th annual event brings lovers of the breed and their dogs to the Cape Region

Greyhounds and other sighthounds gathered the weekend of Oct. 6 in Rehoboth Beach for the annual Greyhounds Reach the Beach. This year marked the event’s 28th anniversary, and the weather couldn’t have been nicer for enjoying the beaches in Rehoboth and Dewey. There were lectures and more at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

Greyhounds Reach the Beach is an annual charity event that celebrates the greyhound breed and creates an awareness of the need for adoptive and foster homes. The event supports the adoption of greyhounds and other sighthound breeds by donating net proceeds to designated 501(c)(3) greyhound and sighthound adoption groups.
