Pins proliferate as Cape grapplers deck Seaford 46-26

The Cape wrestling match at Seaford Dec. 14 started at 152 with Sammy Mohr getting a tech fall over J. Kane. The was followed by pins from Tadeo Gonzales at 160 over Craft and Aaron Dennis at 170 over Jones and a major decision, 13-4, by Andre Flowers at 182 over St. Charles as the Vikings jumped to a 17-0 lead.

Nick Carroll lost by a 4-3 decision to Fitchell, and that was followed by an injury default win by Spencer Brittingham at 220 over Holbrook and a pin by heavyweight Thomas Ott over Durrell as Cape led 33- 3 rolling into the lightweights.

The lead seemed secure until Jackson Zolpher was pinned by Powell at 106, Eriq Gloria was pinned by Rameriz at 113, Louis Attalla was pinned by Ayers at 120, and Germaine Sunkett was pinned by Modestin at 126.  All got decked, closing the margin to 33-27 with only three matches remaining.

Freshman J.J. Currie at 132 stopped the comeback with a 4-1 decision over Santos, and that was followed by a Garrett Smith 138 pin of Parks and a closing 12-3 major decision by Justin Lopez over Deputy.
