Police investigating suspicious man at Rehoboth Mall find him with stolen truck
A Delmar man faces charges June 30 after police say he was stalking a woman at the Rehoboth Walmart and then followed her in a stolen truck.
Police went to the Walmart at 12:35 p.m. for a report that a man was following a woman around the store, which alarmed her, police said.
When the woman left the store, police said, the man got into a GMC Sierra and followed her in the parking lot. She notified a trooper, who then contacted the man at the Grocery Outlet. Police learned that the GMC had been reported stolen June 29 in Salisbury.
Police arrested 38-year-old Jordan Newberry and charged him with receiving stolen property over $1,500 and harassment. Newberry was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $6,000 cash bond.
