Raising the curtain on a new water tower

Painting is the next phase of work on a new 1 million-gallon water tower being constructed by Tidewater Utilities along Mulberry Knoll Road behind Beacon Middle School to serve the company’s Rehoboth-area customers. Workers were busy this week placing a huge covering on the tower to keep paint spray from leaving the site. The $5 million project is being built with funding from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the Environmental Protection Agency.
A large curtain-like covering is being raised to encapsulate the new water tower as the painting process gets underway. It’s actually called the South Rehoboth Elevated Water Storage Tank.
