Randall Curtis Caudell, veteran, retired officer

Randall Curtis Caudell, 77, of Millsboro, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024. He was born Sept. 26, 1946, in Lewes, son of the late Asbiel and Irene (Hall) Caudell.

After graduating from high school, Randall proudly served his country by joining the U.S. Coast Guard, where he dedicated 20 years of his life. Following his military service, he continued his career in public service as a weight enforcement officer with the Virginia State Police, where he worked for 23 years before retirement.

Randall was an avid golfer who also enjoyed shopping, playing solitaire, and challenging friends in Words with Friends. Known for always being early, he took pride in punctuality. He was a devoted member of the Selbyville Assembly of God, where he served as the church treasurer. He actively participated in community Bible studies, and his mornings were dedicated to reading the Bible, a reflection of his deep faith.

In addition to his parents, Randall was preceded in death by several loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rita Caudell; his daughter, Tracy Armstrong (Roger) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; his son, Dean Caudell (Nina) of Millsboro; and two cherished grandchildren, Emily Caudell of Millsboro, and Stacie Huber of Newark.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, at Watson Funeral Home & Crematorium, Millsboro, with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Randall's memory to Selbyville Assembly of God, Selbyville, c/o Laura Hudson, 61688 Yeshua Lane, Millsboro, DE 19966.
