Randy Burton receives People's Choice Award in remodeling of 1920s beach cottage
Integrity Windows and Doors announces Randy Burton and Burton Builders in Lewes as the inaugural People’s Choice Award winner in the 2013 Integrity Red Diamond Achiever Award program.
Burton earned the honor after being selected through an online public voting process celebrating the best in design, innovation, sustainability and quality among projects using Integrity products. After thousands of votes were cast, Burton Builders’ Andrews residence remodel led the pack of five projects chosen by the judges and was named the People’s Choice winner.
For the award-winning project, Burton Builders was challenged with maintaining the architectural style of the 1928 Tudor-style cottage while equipping the home to withstand harsh coastal conditions.
“The Red Diamond Achiever Award program was created to honor the professionals responsible for impressive building and remodeling projects that solve tough challenges without losing sight of beauty and livability,” said Becky Felling, director of marketing for Integrity Windows and Doors.
Burton Builders and the four other Red Diamond Achiever Award winners who competed for the People’s Choice Award were selected by a panel of industry experts with diverse backgrounds: Bob Vila, home improvement expert and TV star; Patrick O’Toole, editorial director for Professional Builder, Professional Remodeler and HousingZone.com; JoAnne Liebeler, producer and host of several home improvement TV shows; Shawn McCadden, an award-winning remodeler, consultant, speaker and columnist; and Christine Marvin, director of marketing for Marvin Windows and Doors.
In addition to Burton Builders, the other winners of the 2013 Integrity Red Diamond Achiever Award Program include Deltec Homes of Asheville, N.C.; InHaus Development of Surrey, B.C.; Greg D. Fisher, Architect, of Fort Collins, Colo.; and Gakidis & Stewart of Onset, Mass.
Integrity will provide each Red Diamond Achiever Award winner and a guest with an all-expense paid VIP trip to Minneapolis and Warroad, Minn., for events including an award presentation with Susan Marvin and other Marvin family members; participation in a roundtable discussion with other Red Diamond Achiever Award winners and industry thought-leaders; a private tour of the Marvin Windows and Doors factory; dinner with Susan Marvin, president of Marvin Windows and Doors; and more.
Also, each winner will have photos and project information featured on Integrity’s website and social media channels. Winners also will receive a commemorative award, a variety of marketing materials to help publicize their business and this award, and a $200 cash donation in their name to a charity of their choice. The People’s Choice winner will have a $500 donation made on his behalf.
