November 28, 2023

Raymond B. "Tim" Miller, 74, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Wilmington Hospital, Christiana Care Health Services, in Wilmington. He was born April 20, 1949, in York, Pa., son of the late Joan (Folkenroth) Wagner and Ray F. Miller.

A Pennsylvania native, Tim was born and raised in York, Pa., and graduated from Northeastern Senior High School class of 1967. He then furthered his education by attending York College of Pennsylvania. Tim answered the call to serve his country, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge, Tim's path would lead him to a lengthy and successful career with Caterpillar Inc., CAT, as a machinist, retiring after many dedicated years with the company.

After migrating to Southern Delaware in 2001, Tim stayed connected to his community, and while living in Rehoboth Beach,  he worked for Lewes Board of Public Works. Never one to stay idle, Tim also worked part-time for Rehoboth Beach parking department. Tim's love of life was contagious, and he lived his life to the fullest, always with a smile on his face.

He was an avid outdoorsman, and in his spare time, he enjoyed being near water, boating in Lewes Bay with his friends and family throughout his golden years. Tim had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and loved riding his Honda Goldwing as often as he could along with his wife. A traveler at heart, he enjoyed vacationing in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., a place he held close to his heart. Tim's green thumb was evidenced by his meticulously cared lawn and garden with a predilection for flower arrangements. He enjoyed NASCAR and loved watching it on TV and attending nighttime racing in Bristol, Tenn. He was an avid Penn State football fan and a relentless jokester. Tim was a lover of all animals; he loved his rescue dog, Buddy, and particularly enjoyed feeding and watching the birds that would visit his birdfeeders in his yard. Above all, Tim was a family man.  He cherished the time spent with his loved ones and taught them by example to live and love every day to the fullest.  Loved by many, he will be forever missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.

In addition to his parents, Tim was predeceased by his stepfather, Ned Wagner; and his stepbrothers, Steve and Ron Armagost. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Sandra Miller; his daughters, Lisa Weaver and Jessica Ott; his stepdaughter, Cynthia Williams; his stepson, Benjamin Aungst; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers, Michael, Stephen and Scott Miller; and sister, Bonnie Dacheux; his half-brother, Ned Wagner Jr.; his stepbrothers, Michael Armagost and Don Armagost; his stepsisters, Linda Payne and Lucinda Flores; and his stepmother, Louise Miller.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
