Rebecca L. Allen, healthcare worker
Rebecca L. Allen, 35, of Millsboro, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Delmar due to injuries she sustained in an automobile accident.
Rebecca worked as an LPN with Peach Tree Acres Rehabilitation Center in Harbeson as well as Methodist Manor House in Seaford. She enjoyed working in the healthcare field and was a loving, compassionate and caring person. She attended Georgetown Wesleyan Church.
Rebecca especially enjoyed the time she spent with her children and being connected with them. She loved doing for others and making people smile.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jeffrey L. Allen Sr.; and a brother, Jeffrey L. Allen Jr.
Rebecca is survived by her four children, Tyler Lennox, Hailey Lennox, Marshall Lennox and Jennica Thompson, all at home; her mother and stepfather, Jane Allen-Schwartz and David; seven siblings, Charlotte Allen, Debbie Wagner, Dawn Brown, Josh Mackey, David Allen, Mark Allen and John Schwartz; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Rebecca's Life will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 5, at Georgetown Wesleyan Church, 618 N. Bedford St., Georgetown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rebecca's memory may be made to the church.
