Ken Norman of Floral Inspirations in Lewes will hold a hands-on seasonal centerpiece workshop at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, in the Villages of Five Points Community Center, 17314 N. Village Main Blvd, Lewes.
The event requires preregistration and a fee of $35, which covers all materials.
Participants will use an assortment of fragrant pine and cedar, and verdant boxwood and magnolia, to create an arrangement that delights all the senses. Accents of cones, berries and ribbons will add the perfect finishing touches. This is a hands-on workshop with step-by-step instruction. All materials are provided. Participants are asked to bring wood cutters or pruners.
Ken Norman, AIFD, PFCI, is a third-generation floral designer. He was recognized and inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers in 2002. In 2013, Norman achieved membership with Professional Floral Communicator International. He has presented his trademark designs to garden clubs and civic groups as well as instructing hands-on workshops with adult community schools. He is also a respected instructor at the prestigious New York Botanical Garden. He has participated in the Philadelphia Flower Show both as a featured designer and exhibit chairman for AIFD. For the past several years, Norman has been a winning contestant and demonstrator at the flower show’s Designer Studio. Norman’s work has been published in several bridal magazines and the blog Style Me Pretty.
