Rehoboth Art League board chair to address AAUW members March 21
The Coastal Georgetown Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 21, at Big Fish Grill, Rehoboth Beach.
The 86-year history of the Rehoboth Art League will be the featured topic. Denise Clemons, the league’s board chair, will speak about RAL’s Henlopen Acres campus, gardens and buildings dating to the 1700s. She will also discuss the wide range of programs offered by RAL, including art classes, summer camps, monthly exhibitions, gallery talks, annual art shows and community outreach.
Prior to becoming board chair, Clemons spent many years volunteering in the group’s historic garden and as a docent in the Homestead. She is also board chair of the Lewes Historical Society, where she serves as the archivist, managing objects in the collection and providing support to researchers.
