Though the campus of the Rehoboth Art League remains temporarily closed to the public, its activities continue with the raffle of an original pastel painting by Nick Serratore, a longtime art league exhibitor and award-winning pastel artist.
Serratore has donated his pastel painting titled “Broadkill River” to benefit the exhibition and educational programs of the Rehoboth Art League.
The painting, which depicts a picturesque, remote landscape of Sussex County, once hung in the Delaware Public Archives building in Dover. The framed piece measures 38-by-46-inches and is valued at $3,000.
Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20 and are available online. To purchase tickets, go to www.rehobothartleague.org/support/donate/ or go to weblink.donorperfect.com/SerratorePaintingRaffle.
Born and raised in Abington, Pa., Serratore graduated from Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia and from Wilmington University. Over last 10 years, Serratore has had multiple solo exhibitions and has won numerous awards for his pastel landscapes. He was awarded an individual artist fellowship grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts in 2012 and in 2019, and actively teaches, working from his Milton studio.
The winning ticket will be drawn in the Corkran Gallery Tuesday, July 7. To be eligible, ticket holders must be 18 years or older. The winner does not need to be present at the time of the drawing.
