The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market opened for its 16th season May 4. There are roughly 35 vendors this year offering food, fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, coffee, seedlings for gardens, jams and jellies, desserts and more.

The market opened to perfect weather, but Market Master Pat Coluzzi said someone had sprayed liquid electrical tape on three outlets on the Grove Street side of the park, forcing the rearrangement of some vendors. She said it was done in an attempt to sabotage the market.

“Some people just don’t want us here,” said Coluzzi, shaking her head.

The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market, located in Grove Park, is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesdays, through October. For more information go to rbfarmersmarket.com or the market’s Facebook page for weekly updates.
