Rehoboth Beach man dies following Bethany Beach crash
An 87-year-old Rehoboth Beach man died following a crash near Bethany Beach April 19.
John Medaris was driving a Jaguar about 7 p.m. southbound on Coastal Highway south of Dune Road when, police said, he lost control and hit a trailer that was being pulled by a Ford F-350. The impact caused the trailer to disconnect and overturn.
Medaris was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition, police said, and he died April 21 from his injuries.
The driver of the F-350, a 61-year-old man, and passenger, a 59-year-old woman, both of Drums, Pa., were not injured.
