Rehoboth Beach Patrolmen Timothy Chan and Rocco Esposito IV were sworn in for duty during a commissioner workshop March 4.

Chief Keith Banks said Chan and Esposito completed 21 weeks of training at the Delaware State Police Academy March 1, and they will now field train for another eight weeks with the city. Both Chan and Esposito served as seasonal cadets last summer.

Swearing in the city’s police officers at a commissioner workshop is a fairly new event – this is the second time the city has done it. The first was for Patrolwoman Marie Fuller in September. Fuller was a seasonal cadet with the city for two summers.
